The Concept to create an Association for Open Schooling originated from the very idea to safeguard Non-Formal Education and Open Schooling. As Non-Formal Mode of Education is a convenient mode of education for many people who had missed their schooling and people who would like to learn more to lead a better quality life. Unfortunately the Open Schooling Market opened the flood gates for touts who invaded the market with shortcuts and gimmicks to earn success. This in turn opened a Pandora’s Box with myriad problems which many Open Schooling Organisations found it difficult to resolve. Thus the Concept of Indian Association of Open Schooling was formulated.
